On the steps of City Hall, Councilman Charles Barron and Kristin Richardson Jorden oppose the proposed New York City budget. With a Progressive council and a leadership of black and brown people, why do we have a Republican-style budget proposal to approve? A billion dollars are being cut from education. Mental health and job incentives as well are being cut. No monies are going to NYCHA, only to RAD and Pac facilities.
This council must not approve this budget.
